Hawarden Estate Farm Shop Chester Road, Hawarden, Flintshire
Opened in March 2008, the ethos of this award winning farm shop is ‘real food sourced with passion’.
It was the vision of Charles Gladstone, great, great grandson of Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone. Twenty years ago it began as Hawarden Castle Fruit Farm and now a highly successful enterprise offering a delicious food experience. As well as fruit and vegetables grown on the farm the shop also sells produce from the estates’ tenant farmers and other local producers including Great Ness Rapeseed Oils. Not only do they stock a wide variety of pies, pastries, puddings, cakes, meat, cheeses preserves, beer and wines, but for those lucky loyal customers they operate a loyalty scheme resulting in special vouchers which can be used in the shop or indeed in their pub The Glynne Arms in Hawarden. So if you are searching for top quality products and an opportunity to relax with friends in either the coffee shop or the Glynne Arms, visit Hawarden.
